Prizes: One remix will be released on Petter B’s “Intersection EP” on Tech Art Records. The winner gets a chance to release one of his original tracks on Tech Art Records. Four more remixes will be picked out for a special remix EP.

Other: The label searches for remixes in the following styles only: IDM, Breaks, House, Electro, Minimal, Techno and related dancefloor music. The samples can be found on the Techno Nation Boards. You will need to become a registered user before you can download them. Your finsihed mix can only be entered by uploading it on Techno Nations FTP server. If you don’t have an FTP program I recommend the open source software Filezilla. For inspiration and to listen to the original track check Petter B’s myspace.

This means that you are free to use it, share it, sample from it, remix it, etc., as long as you only do so for noncommercial purposes, and as long as you properly attribute Meanest Man Contest and Gold Robot Records when you use or distribute it. Other: Afterworld is an animated sci-fi tv series. In this contest you get some video and audio snippets from it. The goal is to create something new out of it, whatever. You can produce a remix but you must also come up with some video running along. Acidplanet is going to launch further Afterworld contests every month from now. Other: You need to register with indibamusic to join in. The tracks were composed and produced by Berklee students featuring the jazz greats Greg Osby and Joe Lovano. Now the producers can’t decide on which tracks to use in the song and leave it up to the remixers. At the contest site you can listen to the remixes submitted so far!
