Some of these contests are ridiculous! Like I’m going to put the weeks of time into a remix ALBUM for the possibility of winning some artwork? And give you all the rights(as they usually request) to the recordings just because I’m so enamored that you would choose my remix album? Give me a break.

Hi deltasleep, you’re absolutely right regarding some contests. Unfortunately there often is a clash between what the contestants are requested to deliver and guarantee and what the artists (or labels) offer in turn.
I post all these contests anyway because there are a lot of remixers who are happy to find acepallas or loops by their favorite artists to play around with. Some like to have a good time fiddling around with these samples even if they won’t enter the contest. That’s why I post these contests.
Then this is where you come into play and are asked to rate the contests and comment on them just like you did here. This can help serious remixers find the great contests. Unfortunately I can’t check every contest in depth on my own, I’m happy that I manage to run the site like this for now. However your support is always welcome!
Thx for your comment!
