a couple of quick updates….
we’ve tweaked the fine print a little… “Remuneration will be paid to the remix producer for any remixes that are licensed to 3rd party licensees including but not limited to synchronisations for TV, film, video games and compilations”
and will be uploading some music parts january 10 - for those wanting more than the vocals and limited music parts already provided. more than likely none of the samples tho - if you want to use those, you gotta find them!

The embedded Imeem player on their site and the whole Imeem site don’t work on several platforms so I can’t hear the tracks. Musicians who want their stuff to be heard should take some considerations on accessibility. -1

failing that you can preview the album / even buy it (!) at http://antipodean.ithinkmusic.com
unfortunately we cannot give away the album as a free download just because someone wants to remix the material. hopefully the people who want to remix the tunes are fans of the music enough to part with $1 or $2 to purchase an original version digital tune
peace

a quick update…. originally only the vocal files and select music parts were available. now tho, the whole album is there - all the music parts (mainly rhodes, synths and basses) are now online except for drums and samples from two tracks… let the remixes begin!

heads up everyone - just over 2 weeks to go in the remix competition. so far we’ve had a lot of entries from all around the world covering just about every style imaginable. there are some stand-outs, some that leave you scratching your head and best of all some that introduce some new production talent.
there’s about 60 entries in so far and we’re hoping to see a whole lot more over the next 2 weeks.
updates at http://remixthepolitik.blogspot.com - which will be updated soon with some more entries to listen to.

hold tight!
to all the remix contest producers and beatmakers, sorry but we’re delayed in announcing the winners. we’d hoped to have made the announcement by now, but due to the number of entries and the judges juggling multiple responsibilites (hmmmmm…. see, if we were a big funded company, we’d get some office juniors to do all the b.s. work… but then… if we were some big funded company… this contest probably wouldn’t even exist).
so, sit tight, yes the contest has closed. yes the winners will be announced. no they will not be announced on schedule as we’d hoped. yes the winning entries will be officially released
also, no sorry - not all entries will be posted for everyone to hear - that office junior must have snuck out to an extra long lunch again
btw, winners will be notified directly and the results will be posted at http://remixthepolitik.blogspot.com
peace and big thanks to everyone who entered - hope you had fun with it!
