Prizes: A winner and a runner-up will constitute the remix package of Rendezvous and be released together with the original version in May 2008. The winner will also get the opportunity to release one of his own tracks on Wavedata Records during 2008.
Other: All common electronic genres such as melodic trance, tech trance, progressive trance, house, techno, electro, etc accepted. Read the judges’ criteria at the contest website. The remix kit contains note data and rendered instruments. All samples are rendered dry with a tempo of 140 bpm. You may use any number of the samples in your remix, including none. You may enter the competition with two different remixes. You’re not allowed to share your remixes until the winners will have been announced. The original track is available for listening on the contest website.

Other: The acapella is available in uncompressed wav quality. Creativity is appreciated but the band does not search for remixes that are “experimental”. Do not make your remix available to the public if you want it to be considered for the CD release. After Encoder have chosen the winning remix you will be free to post your remix. There will also be a limited edition 7″ pressing for the vinyl only set. The winner will also receive a $500 clothing pack courtesy of Fox Racing.
Other: You can stream or download the original from the contest page. The band is looking for anything exciting and fresh. Attention: the sample pack is really huge (523 MB) and contains all the tracks in high quality audio. Even the seperate drum mic tracks are included. Check out BIGSTEREO who initiated this contest. Their indie music blog is fantastic and holds loads of inspiration! (They are the guys who brought to you the Yelle contest before!)
